Material Requirements Planning can be computed either as net change orregenerative as selected by users. Open sales, purchase orders, workorders, and current inventory balances are considered in computing thetime phased net requirements of an unlimited number of component/rawmaterial levels. Demand pegging to the top level sales orders ismaintained. Planner action items are created as the MRP is computed. Anorder release function lets material planners review and select thereplenishment orders suggested by the MRP computation and toautomatically create purchase order requisitions or shop work orders.
